When you join you provide an initial $48 deposit that funds your pledge account. Small portions of this pledge are drawn only when expenses occur. If needed, you’ll refill the balance to $48 at the end of each month. If your community has a good month of no expenses, you’ll pay nothing to other group members. In any given month, you will never contribute more than the $48 pledge amount. The pledge is your deposit to your community as a promise-to-pay - it lets them know that when the going gets tough, the funds are ready and available for sharing.
Important to remember - when you join a group, you make a 1-year commitment to share expenses with other members. If you choose to leave before that time, you forfeit your $48 pledge.
